A personalized retreat experience surrounded by nature, focused on yoga. 4 hours of daily practice tailored to you, vibrant meals, pristine beaches and jungle paths to explore.  Haramara is its own medicine.  Begin your day meditating  to the music of birds, breathing in rhythm with the waves as the sun rises. Practice surrounded by green in all directions.  Soak sore muscles in the saltwater infinity pool.  Fall asleep reading on the terrace’s chaise lounge.  Unwind with Yin Yoga cast by a brilliant sunset.  As the moon rises, listen to the music of the jungle and count more stars than you’ve ever seen.  This is paradise.

Haramara sits on 12 private acres. A network of trails connect 18 individual casitas, two yoga shalas, an open air dining room and terrace at the saltwater infinity pool.  Everything you need, nothing you don’t. The rooms do not have electricity or wifi, but a hot shower and warm candlelight will illuminate your evenings. Charge devices in the restaurant and pick up a signal at the highest point on the property, but our mission is to embrace presence.

Jennifer’s 20 years of experience leading 75+ retreats will expand your practice of vinyasa, hatha, mayofascial release, yin, restorative, pranayama and meditation. The morning practices will be energizing, focusing on mobility + strength. Evening sessions will be grounded + slow, concentrating on calming the nervous system and releasing connective tissue.

Daily Schedule

6:30 – 7:00am Coffee/Tea/Fruit

7:00 – 7:30am Meditation (optional)

7:30 – 9:00am Solar Yoga Practices – Hatha + Vinyasa

9:00 – 10:00am Breakfast

10:00 – 4:00pm Swim + Lunch + Massage + Optional excursions

4:00 – 6:00 Lunar Yoga Practices – Yin, MFR, Restorative

6:30 – 7:30pm Dinner

  • Retreat begins Saturday, 5/20 with 3-7pm check-in + welcome dinner
  • Retreat concludes Saturday, 5/27 with yoga + brunch. Check-out is 11am
  • Fly in/out of PVR in the late afternoon, sharing ground transport with others on retreat

About the Instructors:

Jennifer was introduced to yoga in college and has been practicing since 1997.  Decades of experience are woven into her inspired approach.  You’ll have clear purpose and direction with space for exploration.  Expect good music, philosophy and moving fluidly to destinations you don’t anticipate.

Jennifer has devoted her life to studying and teaching yoga.   Kim King opened up her home and taught Jennifer and 8 other dedicated students how to teach yoga in 2002.  Additionally, her primary teachers are Shiva Rea (2004-2009), Kathleen Hunt – Samadhi Yoga (2004-2012), Andrey Lappa – Universal Yoga (2009-2012), Bernie Clark – Yin Yoga (2015), and Tiffany Cruikshank – Yoga Medicine (2021-present).  As a lifelong student, you can feel her commitment and curiosity in every class.

After living out of a suitcase 7 years, Jennifer lives and teaches in Seattle, WA where she and her mother, father and all her grandparents were raised.
