Both Wild and Still- You don’t have to choose which one you are.
In Sanskrit, ha is sun and tha is moon: Hatha yoga doesn’t mean “posture” — it means the union of what we believed were opposites. Your storm and your calm. Your strength and your surrender. We were taught to split ourselves in two: firm or soft, wild or still, the one who holds it together or the one who breaks. These five days are for no longer choosing.
This isn’t rest. It’s coming back whole.
We live it at Haramara — twelve acres of private jungle above the Pacific, named one of the ten best yoga retreats in the world by Yoga Journal: candlelit cabins with no electricity, no signal. One of the last places where you can still disappear. We’ll be twelve. Not one more — because this needs closeness.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
It’s not just yoga. Tania’s practice moves from strength to calm within a single session (Hatha, Vinyasa, yin, restorative, and Soul Yoga). Around it, the inner work with Dulce: writing and visualization that aren’t mug-quote motivation, but guided mental training with a method — drawn from her training as a Master in Mental Application.
A real disconnect. You hand over your phone the first night. No wifi, no electricity, no screens to perform on for anyone. Only candlelight and the surf. In that emptiness, you finally hear yourself.
Ancient rites. A temazcal ceremony to give back to the fire what has already served its time, and a bonfire under the stars.
A sacred mountain. A hike up Monkey Mountain, where the Wixárika people have left Ojos de Dios for centuries: a 360° summit over Bahía de Banderas, Punta Mita, and the Marietas Islands. December is humpback whale season.
A table set as an offering. Living, local, chef-crafted cuisine — vegetarian or fish — each meal served as a way of being present.

About the Instructors:
Dulce Vázquez
Founder of ALMA · Master in Mental Application
More than 13 years of corporate life gave her a résumé that looked complete from the outside — until her body refused to keep pretending and forced her to stop. Something broke, and in that crack the light got in. ALMA was born there. On the way back she learned that feeling can be trained, and became a Master in Mental Application: the discipline of rewriting the internal stories that run us unnoticed. Her sessions here — writing and visualization — aren’t motivation, but guided mental training, with a method. She leads from the only place you honestly can: having walked it herself.
Tania Lomelí
15+ years on the mat · 1,000+ hours of certified training
Her training spans the whole arc of yoga, not a single style: Hatha (RYT-400), Vinyasa (RYT-300), Soul Yoga (RYT-500), Yoga Wheel and Yoga Kids. A rare command of the body that moves as easily through the most demanding postures as through absolute stillness. She needs no embellishment — she lives the essence of what she teaches, and under her guidance no one is left behind, whatever your level.
