The Art of Softening: Yin Yoga & Thai Bodywork Training Immersion

Apr 17, 2027 – Apr 24, 2027

The Art of Softening is a 40-hour immersion in Yin Yoga, Thai Bodywork, and Nervous System Restoration designed for yoga teachers and embodied practitioners who want to deepen the way they teach, facilitate, and hold space.

This is not simply another training where you collect more techniques for your teaching toolbox.

It is an invitation to explore what happens when we move beyond doing yoga and begin to truly listen to the body, to sensation, to the nervous system, to one another, and to the moment in front of us.

Throughout the immersion, we’ll explore:

  • Yin Yoga as a practice of presence, awareness, and softening
  • Thai Bodywork and the art of conscious, responsive touch
  • Consent, boundaries, and discernment in hands-on work
  • Nervous system literacy and restoration
  • Embodied facilitation and the skills required to hold space
  • Presence, attunement, and co-regulation
  • The role of silence and spaciousness in transformative experiences
  • How to create classes and experiences that invite exploration rather than prescribe an outcome
  • Practical tools for integrating these skills into your teaching and professional practice

You’ll receive both in-person experiential training and supporting virtual education, with opportunities to practice, receive feedback, ask questions, and integrate what you’re learning.

The week culminates in an opportunity to demonstrate your learning through a teaching practicum and written Yin Yoga sequence.

And then there is the other half of the experience: being somewhere beautiful enough to actually slow down.

We’ll gather at Haramara Retreat in Sayulita, surrounded by jungle and ocean, with nourishing meals, time for rest and connection, and space to let the teachings land in your own body.

This immersion is designed to be both professional development and personal practice because we cannot authentically invite others into a practice of softening if we never give ourselves permission to soften.

40 hours of continuing education for yoga teachers, plus an immersive experience designed to change not only what you teach, but how you hold the space in which transformation can happen.

About the Instructor:

Delaney is a yoga educator, somatic and breathwork facilitator, Thai Bodywork practitioner, retreat leader, and creator of The Art of Softening. With a background in chemical engineering and years of experience studying and teaching embodied practices, she brings a unique blend of analytical curiosity, experiential learning, and deep reverence for the body to her work.

Her teaching is rooted in presence, nervous system awareness, conscious touch, and the belief that meaningful transformation happens when we slow down enough to truly listen.

Through The Art of Softening, Delaney helps yoga teachers and embodied practitioners deepen not only what they teach, but how they hold space with greater presence, discernment, confidence, and care.
