About the Instructors:

Joanna Benevides (Teacher, Retreat Leader)

Joanna is a yoga teacher, a Reiki Practitioner, Women’s Circle Facilitator, and a forever curious and fascinated artist of life. She is based out of Boston and Cape Cod Massachusetts, and has been teaching and facilitating yoga and wellness retreats, workshops and trainings for over 15 years. She led her first retreat at Haramara seven years ago, which sparked her love affair with Mexico’s extraordinary and sacred land, where she is blessed and humbled to call home for several months out of the year.

Forever fascinated by the creativity and intelligence of the body, she invites you to open to connect deeply with that intuitive wisdom as a portal towards healing, awakening, and remembering you back to that place of home within. Body, Mind, Heart and Soul.

Joanna’s classes are soulful, explorative and creative, emphasizing embodied movement, a deep listening, connection to oneself, to nature, and to the greater web of existence that we are all intrinsically a part of. You will move with your breath, shake-it-out, use your voice, receive and release, and find quiet, stillness and deep healing rest. She feels deeply honored and humbled for the opportunity to share this inner alchemy with all those who are called.

Emily Burdett (Teacher/Facilitator)

For Emily, yoga has evolved into an experience that illuminates the benefits of the mind body connection, and the power of community. Emily’s teaching enables you to establish a deep relationship between the body, the mind and the breath through thoughtful sequencing and a strong focus on alignment and mindfulness. She always aims to meet you exactly where you are at when you arrive onto your mat, with her warm, kind, and calming presence. Emily brings so much love, wisdom, joy and laughter to everything she does, and it is an honor and privilege to have her share her magic with you.
