Ignition: Reawaken your (Sexual) Vitality

A four night, three day retreat for women and (women identifying folks) looking to rekindle a spark for life.
With the guidance and support of Carrie Griffin, a physician, trauma therapist and sex coach and Sarah Landis, a pelvic floor physical therapist and sex coach, we invite you to explore what’s getting in the way of experiencing an innate sense of aliveness and connection to your sexuality.
Over our time together, we’ll practice a variety of forms of embodiment through yoga, dance and pelvic floor practices.
We’ll create spaces for deep inquiry into what it is you’re most wanting — even if at this moment you’re not sure what that is and how to identify it.
You’ll leave feeling reconnected to your inherent sense of authenticity, courageous in the face of your desires and with a committed and clear path towards grounding these changes in your day to day life.

About the Instructors:

Dr. Carrie Griffin

Dr. Griffin is board certified in family and addiction medicine. She is fellowship trained in maternal child and reproductive health. Since 2016 she has practiced obstetrics and addiction medicine. Her experiences with birth and substance use disorder in pregnancy led her to seek further education and training in trauma. She studied the counseling practices of Somatic Experiencing, NARM and Internal Family Systems and lectures on trauma informed care in medical settings. Prior to medical school she was a yoga teacher and therapist.

In 2017 she completed a year long coaching training through the Tantric Institute for Integrated Sexuality. She has studied psychedelic medicine as well, completing a ketamine assisted psychotherapy training through the Psychedelic Research Association and Training Institute in July 2020 and the MAPS MDMA Therapy Training in April 2022.

Her clinical interests are the intersection between body, mind and soul and the infinite ways that transformation can occur. Her work centers on activating and witnessing the innate capacity for healing inherent in all beings and choosing the modalities best befitting the individual before her.

She delivered babies for ten years and still actively practices prenatal care and women’s health, newborn care and addiction medicine in Humboldt County California, and provides these skills in a variety of settings including a federally qualified health center, tribal clinics and residential treatment center.

Dr. Sarah Landis

is a passionate Women’s Certified Specialist in Physical Therapy. Her focus is on inclusive, holistic care that integrates healing of physical symptoms with body awareness, breath work, and trauma informed care. Sarah is also a certified sex coach through Pelvic Global. As a practitioner for 10 years and mother of 4, Sarah focuses on pelvic floor awareness as it relates to pelvic pain, dyspareunia, urinary and fecal incontinence, trauma, neuralgias, prolapse and constipation in both men and women throughout the lifespan. With a masters in exercise science, she works to help restore functional movement whether that is returning to running or lifting a grocery bag. You can often find Sarah at the farmers market with her family, running the local Six Rivers Running Club races or snuggled up with the kids reading a book.
