About the Instructors:
Certified Yoga Instructor, Reiki Practitioner & student of Acupuncture and Naturopathic Medicine
Joe has always enjoyed being physically active and has had an interest in movement, yoga, and nature. His passion for wellness followed through college where he completed his Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and exercise physiology at Northern Illinois University. During that time, he worked as a personal trainer and exercise programmer for endurance cyclists and triathletes. Joe’s interest in yoga grew over the years as he used the practice for increasing quality of movement, kinesthetic awareness, and mindfulness. He went on to complete his 200-hr yoga teacher training at Tribalance Yoga Center. Within his yoga teaching he places emphasis on breath, alignment, and presence. His classes are structured with an affinity for balancing the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of life. He is an advocate for self-healing, the mind-body connection, and the healing power of nature. He is trained in energetic Reiki healing and versed in Thai yoga adjustments. Joe is currently in school completing his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters in Acupuncture.
