Lila – is sanskrit for sacred play. In yoga tradition lila is the divine play of the universe. The yogis see the manifest world as divine play, embodied as spirit.

Rasa – is sanskrit for what in english we might understand as “taste” but with all the senses.

Rasa Lila is fine tuning our senses to the environment around us as inseparable from our inner experience – a continual interaction with the Divine that brings us into presence and the recognition of the ever present synchronicities at play in the universe.

It is through yoga practices that we can uncover or dissolve the stuff that prevents us from being in our true nature – which is joy.

This yoga retreat is about letting go, to open up in curiosity and wonder of the beauty of life, the joy of life all around. It’s also about resonating to the vibration of nature as we are immersed in at this magical retreat center.

About the Instructor:

Marcy Midnight believes yoga is the practice of embracing the flow of our true self, and affirming that we always have a choice to either reinforce our conditioning or transform, grow and be who we are born to be. Committed to empowering others with her intuitive, authentic teaching, Marcy offers creative vinyasa sequences, mantra, pranayama, focused intention, meditation and spontaneous movement to unite mind, body and spirit. Her vinyasa flow classes integrate breath with movement, form and flow, and strength with deep relaxation. Through intelligent sequences, self-inquiry, and intention setting, she cultivates a strong presence and guides students through a transformational experience in a safe and inclusive atmosphere. Her teaching is inspired and influenced by the many styles of yoga she’s trained and practiced in including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Tantra, Vinyasa, Prana Flow, Kundalini, Somatic Breathwork, Yoga and Social Justice. Her offerings are deeply rooted with her formal teachers and yoga philosophy, but her inspiration for theme and metaphor in the class setting comes from real life experience.

Marcy formally trained and assisted with Shiva Rea, receiving a 500 hr certificate. And further studied vinyasa with Seane Corn; trained in Anusara method and attended a training rooted in Shaivism Tantra in South India and continues online study with Christopher Wallis.
