What to expect — First half of the day

​Honor yourself with a morning yoga session

Wake up slowly as the sun rises through the jungle trees

Hear birds sing as you walk along the nature path lined with tropical foliage and breathtaking flowers

Fuel your body with fresh homemade yogurt and granola, local organic fruits, and delicious yogi tea

Connect with your inner power during two hours of invigorating yoga practice that awakens your senses and energizes your body

Enjoy a delicious post-yoga desayuno (breakfast)

Follow your yoga practice with a delicious breakfast with your fellow yogis

Sip on fresh roasted coffee while you reflect on the morning’s practice, and share stories and laughter with a group of loving friends.

Head to the yoga shala for an afternoon vision circle and Lightyear coaching session

Learn how to let go of false narratives that no longer serve you (inherited legacies)

Create an abundance mindset, and contemplate what you really want

Develop practices to restore yourself in challenging times

Take the time and space to create a vision and set goals for a life that feeds your soul

Restore yourself during an afternoon yoga session

Awaken your senses, and move your body in a way that nourishes your soul

Still your mind through intentional dharna practice (meditation) and yoga Nidra

About the Instructor:

I’m Brisa (Bree-za / she, her, hers). I am a mama, wife, and lover of people. I am a passionate yoga practitioner, a skillful yoga teacher, and the founder of Yoga for a Cause Movement. I am also a Purpose Coach and I am deeply invested in personal development and in supporting others in their path of self discovery and expansion. I am known for my heartwarming and positive energy, and my mission is to empower others to authentically live and love more.

My yoga is sweaty, invigorating, playful, and light-hearted. My style is intentional, sincere, passionate, and down-to-earth. My mission is to empower others to authentically live and love more. I am known for my heartwarming and positive energy

My classes are a unique and accessible combination of stretching, strength and conditioning, slow flow yoga, and mindfulness. Expect to nourish your mind-body connection while being physically challenged, and to feel balanced and energized after your practice.

Brisa brings over 12 years and 3,500 hours of teaching experience into her classes. Her blend of exuberance and compassionate style provides an energy-shifting practice that allows her students to progress towards their own physical and emotional goals. Brisa understands that each student is a unique human being and she is deeply invested in supporting their development. Brisa believes that real transformation happens in community and through connection. She combines her love for people, yoga, adventure, traveling, and coaching through her international yoga retreats.

​Brisa knows that yoga can heal the body, mind, and spirit. She is passionate about coaching yoga with a therapeutic approach and making yoga accessible to people of all walks of life. Brisa has recently partnered with Duke University Hospital and is currently involved in a study to help cancer patients and survivors through yoga.
