About the Instructors:

Kelly Kjos, e-RYT500

Kelly began practicing yoga in 2002 and fell in love with the way she felt mentally, physically, energetically, emotionally, and spiritually, after her practice. She obtained her 200-hour certification from Urban Yoga in Phoenix, AZ in 2014 and her 300-hour certification in Tantric Hatha and meditation from Zuna Yoga, In Bali, Indonesia in 2017. In between those two, she did other trainings and obtained certifications from Bryan Kest’s Power Yoga, Seane Corne’s Off the Mat Into the World, Sumits Hot Set Sequence, and James Fox’s Prison Yoga Project.

She is the co-founder of The Prison Yoga Project Phoenix and owner of Smarana Yoga, which teaches the practices of yoga and meditation to people in addiction recovery, to help assist them in navigating a sober life with more grace, joy and ease.

Kelly teaches vinyasa, Hatha, restorative and meditation and co-leads Yoga Teacher Trainings. She guides students in a manner that empowers them to find their own inner guru, strength and power. It is her aim to guide you, through the practices, to living your best, most authentic life.

Christina Palmer, RYT500

Christina found Yoga about 12 years ago, and the practice has transformed her life both on and off the mat. She views yoga as an ongoing journey and is passionate about sharing her knowledge and energy with others. Christina believes the physical and spiritual practice of yoga is key to living a joyful life.

Christina earned her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification at The Biltmore Studio, where she is also a teacher, and her 300-hour Certification at Modern Yoga Scottsdale. She continues to attend workshops and trainings to advance her education and grow as a teacher.

Christina’s classes are fun, challenging playful and inspiring. She infuses humor into the practice at every opportunity to keep people smiling on their mats. Her goal is to help others enhance their mind, body, and spirit through yoga so they leave the mat feeling positive and ready to conquer anything.
