re·new·al

/rəˈn(y)o͞oəl/

noun

  1. an instance of resuming an activity or state after an interruption.

We can all agree that over the last 21 months a lot of life and life-interrupted have happened. Whether it was our favorite studio closing, moving to virtual classes, friends and loved ones moving away, job and opportunity loss, or finding ourselves rebuilding our wellness community— we have all been impacted by the constant changes and loss that the Pandemic has brought.  While we are still very much still in it, and adapting to the loss and reconfiguring of life, we feel hopeful that we can gather again in ways that feel nourishing, connective and communal. We all need spaces to release, to reset, to recollect, to remember and to renew.

We can all agree that over the last 21 months a lot of life has happened. Whether it was our favorite yoga studio closing, moving to virtual classes or finding ourselves rebuilding wellness community, we have all been impacted by the constant changes and loss that the Pandemic has brought.  While we are still very much still in it, we feel hopeful that we can gather again in ways that feel nourishing, connective and communal. We all need spaces to release, to reset, to recollect, to remember and to renew.

In the summer of 2020, Nkechi and Liz decided to gather a few of their practitioner friends (as COVID-safely as possible) for what they called a “Practitioner’s Retreat” to share their practices with one another as a way to be in community and to also practice a more democratized way of “being on retreat.”

We felt RENEWED.

We created an incredible peer-to-peer container and as a result, this idea of gathering space holders to contribute to their retreat experience was formed.

Let this be a reminder that Community sustains us and that we have so much we can offer one another.

ON RETREAT.

Over the seven days at Haramara, we will each participate in creating a container that is collaborative, autonomous and non-hierarchical— meaning that we are extending the opportunity for guests to contribute an offering for everyone to participate and benefit from. We believe that while structure often provides freedom and that we can all learn from one another, it is also important for guests to make choices that feel correct for them so attending every practice is not required. As hosts, we will be supporting the flow of offerings and placement for each practice.

This retreat includes 3 daily wellbeing practices that vary from meditation, restorative, and self development. These offerings will be taught in combination by retreat hosts and retreat participants. The myriad of offerings shared within our practices are meant to deepen our knowledge of self, to restore our beings, and to encourage our curiosity through other modalities that will support us in the process of cultivating stillness and ease within.

With three fresh, nourishing meals per day in open-air cabanas nestled alongside the Nayarit coastline, the sea, the sun, and the jungle might be exactly what is needed in order for renewal to happen. Receive bodywork from some of the most amazing healers on the continent and fall asleep to the sound and smell of the ocean. If this sounds like where you want to be, we want you to be there with us!

Please join us in this intentional space to expand and explore what it means to create RENEWAL in the unparalleled and gorgeous natural setting of Haramara.
