Haramara Retreat is located in the breathtaking coastal region of Nayarit, Mexico (known as Riviera Nayarit) near the town of Sayulita. It is situated on 12 private acres of land between the Sierra Madre Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The retreat is nestled into the tropical jungle vegetation on a hillside above the magnificent rugged coast of the Pacific Ocean and its private and pristine beach.

Haramara Retreat can easily be reached in a comfortable 40 minute drive from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport via Retreat SUV shuttle, rental car, bus or taxi. See our FAQ page for more details.

Drive north out of Puerto Vallarta on Hwy 200. The exit for Sayulita is at kilometer marker 123 and you will exit off the highway to the left. Approximately half a mile from the Hwy 200 turnoff you will come to a “Y” in the road. Continue straight ahead which is the left arm of the “Y”. This road bypasses the actual town of Sayulita.

Approximately 1.2 miles beyond this “Y” you will come to a dirt road on your right. Turn right onto this dirt road. Take this road until you come to the next intersecting dirt road on the right. Turn right onto this road and take this road straight ahead to the guardshack and gate. Tell the person manning the gate that you are going to Haramara Retreat. Immediately after the gate it will become a cobblestone road and you are almost there. The road curves and passes a long red wall on your right. After you pass this wall Haramara Retreat will be the next place you can turn right at.
