200 Hour Teacher Training Intensive

Our 14-day retreat-style immersive yoga teacher training provides an opportunity to deepen your practice and understanding of the yoga tradition and to build the skills and techniques to offer these teachings back out into the world.

This comprehensive teacher training will give you a strong foundation in yogic philosophy, theory and practice.  Students will participate in daily asana and pranayama classes, engage in group discussions and lectures, practice teach, and receive personal development coaching to guide them deep into the heart of yoga.

Yoga is the light of Self-knowledge and self-inquiry, students will be guided through potent personal development coaching. We can only teach who we are. This foundational training offers participants powerful tools for connecting with their heart, authoring their lives, and finding their True North.

This retreat-style training is an opportunity to play, connect in community, participate in daily ritual, and immerse fully into the teachings. The Mexico portion of training is powerfully immersive and supported by online self-paced training and live-streaming integration opportunities.

I have studied yoga for 27 years as a practitioner and then as an academic and scholarly researcher of the yoga tradition. You’ll take a deep dive into the history and philosophy of the tradition and way beyond Patanjali’s yoga which is only one of many systems.

You’ll receive top notch applied anatomy training with a supplementary FULL anatomy course online with a pretty rad doctor.

You’ll to sequence with intelligence and care no showing up with the same old random vinyasa classes but classes built around energetics and body knowledge with skill and care. You’ll learn to teach both Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.

About the Instructors:

Teacher, writer, artist, and speaker, Selena has been a leader in the movement and wellness community since 2006

She is the founder of the WeEvolve Method™ and approach to yoga asana anchored in Classical Yoga, Personal Development, and Modern Movement Methodologies.

Selena is the host and creator of the Mapping the Self Podcast™ a show dedicated to conversations on self-mastery, self-exploration, and our simplest altruism.

She believes that practice is service and that there MUST be a direct line between our personal spirituality and civil engagement. That our individual wellbeing cannot be separated from the collective wellbeing.

She offers a practice and teachings that are pragmatic, practical, and magical to help you author your life, live from your heart, and to operate from a place of grace.

Her movement and wellness training includes certifications in Katonah Yoga™, thousands of hours in yoga training with modern luminaries, FRC Kinstretch™, FRC Mobility Specialist, Balanced Body Pilates, Personal Training, Precision Nutrition™, Ayurveda, Movement Flow™,  martial arts, and dance.

She is a yoga scholar, two time Cornell fellow, and Fulbright Awardee in yoga studies and South Asian Anthropology.

Selena attended the University of Montana and received a BA in Sociocultural Anthropology with a minor in Philosophy and Women’s Studies in 2005.

She received a Masters in Public Health in Infectious Disease and Maternal Child and Infant Health from Boston University in 2007 and is a PhD candidate at The University of Montana in Sociocultural Anthropology with a focus in yoga and South Asian Anthropology.

She is a two-time Cornell Fellow, Fulbright Awardee, and scholar.

Her movement and wellness training includes certifications in Katonah Yoga™, thousands of hours in yoga training with modern luminaries, FRC Kinstretch™, FRC Mobility Specialist, Balanced Body Pilates, Personal Training, Precision Nutrition™, Ayurveda, Movement Flow™,  and dance. She is also a certified coach, NLP and hypnosis coach, and presently completing a MA in mental health counseling.

She is a growing martial artist and multi disciplinary movement professional.
