Sept 18 - 24, 2022
This retreat is for you if…
you feel called to recharge at a deep level.
your practice could use an infusion of inspiration.
you crave good company and meaningful conversation.
you want to get away and recalibrate body/mind/spirit.
Here’s an inconvenient truth: modern technology has outpaced your biology. For the last 2+ years, your eyeballs have been locked on screens. You’ve been holed up at home. Sometimes in cities or urban centers.
Your eyes need the green of the trees, the brilliance of a bonfire, the sparkle of the ocean. Your lungs long for fresh air. Your skin craves sunlight. And you spirit needs open space. Time in nature is a necessity. Slowing down, checking out, turning off the devices, is medicine for modern life.
During the retreat, Nature will be our teacher. You’ll tap into her wisdom and rhythms to reset and recalibrate on a deep level. From circadian rhythms to breathing to sensing and feeling and practicing. This is a real retreat.
Each day you’ll have several options to practice, including morning meditation, morning asana practice, and an evening group session that combines lecture, Q&A and practice. After the morning session, there are “office hours” to hang out and talk yoga. Yoga practice will be all levels. There is an emphasis on education and yoga as a healing art. Expect demonstrations, explorations, partner work, breathwork, meditation, visualization and journaling.

About the Instructors:
Hi, I'm Alison.
As a teacher, I’m known for my playful fire, inquisitive nature, and technical expertise. I have training far outside the realm of “yoga poses” but it always brings me back to the eternal goal of how to get more connected in body, mind, and spirit.
I was initially certified in Anusara Yoga and spent many years under the tutelage and mentorship of Noah Maze. Nowadays, I draw inspiration from diverse sources like Ashtanga, SATYA, and Shadow Yoga. I like to learn from different methodologies like Rolfing, Anatomy Trains, Feldenkrais, Somatics, and Polyvagal Theory. I study Ayurveda, Jyotisha, the mythology, philosophy, and classical texts of the Yoga Tradition (especially the non-dual paths). I learn from Tias Little, Robert Svoboda, and Gabor Mate.
I believe that yoga is a healing art and an ancient science. Come learn with me.
