About the Instructors:

Anita Sundaram-

Anita’s journey in the sacred healing arts began more than thirty years ago. She is a teacher, healer, yogini, botanical alchemist, and passionate woman who shares her love for Ayurveda, Yoga, and the Sacred Art of living. The fabric that makes up her lifestyle teachings is infused by the magic of her birthplace, Mysore, India. She draws inspiration from the spiritual lineage of her family, most important her mother and mentor, Swamini Srividyananda who resides at a Vedanta and Sanskrit Ashram.

Anita’s yoga foundation began in the Iyengar tradition, with layered wisdom from teachers; Rod Stryker, Mas Vidal, Judith Lasater, Dr. Vasant Lad, and years of study with master teachers in a variety of holistic modalities. She is certified at the 500hr level and Restorative Yoga. Anita’s style of teaching Yoga is of the heart dedicated to the great Vedic Science of Yoga and Ayurveda. She is committed to teaching an integral form of yoga that combines the classical yoga system of Patanjali, integrated with the healing Science of Ayurveda. She strongly believes in the practice of Pranayama, Meditation, and Mantra.

Anita has always connected to sacred rituals and believes the elements of true beauty are more than skin deep. She created Anita Sundaram Beauty as a haven for Soul Nourishment. As a licensed face & body therapist she offers healing sessions incorporating the magic of botanicals, essential oils, and marma therapy to balance and heal the senses.

Anita’s newest endeavor is Sacred Intentions, 33 beautifully crafted Yoga & Ayurveda lifestyle cards to set your intention for the day, plus an accompanying workbook offering practical tips guiding you into Sacred ritual and daily Self-care. It is a journey of the Heart.

Anita currently travels the world inspiring health and wellness through the traditions of Yoga and Ayurveda. She currently facilitates Yoga Alliance approved international yoga teacher trainings, offers Sacred Intentions lifestyle and wellness education programs, and Intentional Living retreats at some of the most beautiful places on the planet. She lives in Seal Beach, California with her husband and dog Goldie.

“My mission and hope are to inspire individuals to return to the Sacredness of life. It is imperative now that we come back home to simple principles. A foundation of balance, joy, and appreciation of this one magnificent life we have. This mind, body, spirit connection is aptly named for a reason, a profoundly sacred geometry that links us to everything on this planet. Let us live as a whole under the influence of our health. It is our birthright.”

Raquel Bueno-

Raquel (EYRT500 , YACEP, Yin, Viniyoga) began practicing in a studio over 25 years ago with her first Iyengar teacher Jan Campbell in Nashville, TN. The precision of this practice along with the deep body/mind connection resonated profoundly within her. After moving back to her hometown of Los Angeles, Raquel was fortunate enough to experience a multitude of approaches and styles. Alongside her passion for yoga, she began the practice of Zen Buddhism; taking her Buddhist precepts (Jukai) in 2002.

Inspired by art, creativity, and belonging, Raquel creates a practice that brings to life the holistic and healing nature of yoga; a practice where everyone belongs. A self-identified biracial Mexican-American, her faith in the practice of “allowing” inspires people of all orientations to simply, yet deeply, access and connect more passionately with spirit. Her teaching style integrates real-life experience and the science and philosophy of yoga; enhancing a spiritual, mental and physical context for your body and mind in the world.

Raquel led one of Nashville respected and recognized studios before it migrated to Liberation Online Yoga Studio. She is a lead 300hr YTT facilitator for Indra Yoga Institute as well as conducting the yearly Liberation: Soul Migration 200hr YTT. Raquel is a sought after guest teacher and leads a multitude of soul-based workshops. Always a student, Raquel studies Vedic chanting at KYM in Chennai, Ayurveda with some of the world’s most respected teachers, Vedanta with Jyothi Chalam, and often pilgrimages to India to honor and stay connected to the rich legacies of yoga.

As a guest speaker and conference presenter, Raquel leads large-scale yoga and meditation sessions. In addition to guiding audiences in these practices, Raquel gives talks on Diversity and Inclusion, honoring the stories of our lived experiences. Having studied sculpting in Italy, together with her love of poetry writing, she believes all life is art.

Raquel is unendingly humbled and honored by the students who practice with her and how profoundly these ancient teachings have influenced her growth as a constant student of this amazing and beautiful life.
