April 25 - May 1, 2021
Welcome to Haramara, a magical and idyllic place where earth, air, water and spirit create a natural healing environment for body and soul. Surrounded by the gifts of the natural world ~ the grounding companionship of trees and soft earth, gentle seabreezes, the rejuvenating element of the ocean ~ this retreat offers a special opportunity to unplug from our virtual existence and reconnect with our essential selves. Within this sanctuary, through daily guided meditation, energizing breath-work, heart-opening vinyasa yoga, and deeply releasing restorative practices, we reconnect to the essential elements of life — heart, health, spirit, a desire to embrace and uplift others, and the health and well-being of planet Earth.
Each day we’ll orient our various practices toward one of the 5 universal elements within the yoga tradition ~ Earth, Air, Water, Fire, Space ~ each offering a way of deepening our understanding of, and healing our relationships with Mother Nature, with ourselves, with each other, and the planet.
The setting at Haramara is pristine and private, and all structures are open air. Practice spaces are spacious and allow for social distancing. We will have exclusive use of one of two onsite Yoga shalas, hand-built of all natural materials with high roofs and handcrafted hardwood floors, and positioned to receive the sweet seabreezes, and to offer panoramic views of the lush mountains and ocean below.
Accommodation is offered in single or double occupancy open-air luxury style cabanas with private bath. Scattered across the beautiful tropical hillside, each individual cabaña has been hand-built of all natural materials and offers exceptional views of the ocean and jungle canopy. Each cabaña is situated to offer privacy and seclusion while still taking advantage of the spectacular views. Each cabaña has its own unique and individually designed private bathroom with hot water and an open air shower with a view.
Staff has implemented very high standards of cleanliness and food preparation protocols, and is certified by the Mexican government for following recommendations for travel safety. In addition, Harmara will make Covid testing available onsite for guests whose country of origin require it for return travel (additional cost).

About the Instructors:
“You don’t need to be a yogi, or be flexible or fit, to embark on the journey of yoga. You just need a yearning to breathe deeply, to increase your awareness, to expand your heart energy, and to move with greater freedom in sync with your soul’s purpose.” ~ Raissa Lerner, ERYT-500
Raissa is a passionate yogi, teacher, nature lover, and student of yoga philosophy as it applies to modern life. Her signature soul-powered vinyasa classes approach the practice of yoga as a sacred heart-opening journey ~ a deeply intentional moving meditation. Expect to cultivate total body awareness, focus on functional alignment, and learn to breathe into each asana to build strength and stamina with grace and ease. Raissa enjoys inspiring yogis of all backgrounds to discover their authentic power, presence and freedom of expression in the practice.
Raissa began practicing Hatha yoga with Rodney Yee in 1995, as a busy working mom. After nearly 17 years of practice, Raissa became certified to teach in 2011, and has completed over 700 hours of basic and advanced teacher trainings with Janet Stone, Shiva Rea, Mark Whitwell, Rusty Wells, among others. Raissa is inspired by the writings of Rupi Kaur, Rumi, Ram Dass and Piero Ferrucci, the philosophy of the Yoga Sutras, and heart-centered, soulful beats. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Raissa has taught more than 2500 public and private classes, leads yoga teacher trainings, workshops and retreats worldwide, and serves as a mentor to new yoga teachers.
