8 Limbs Yoga Retreat – MJ Daniels and Leisha Davis

March 6 - 13, 2021

Slowing down, nourishing ourselves, and connecting to the Divine within.

Join MJ Daniels and Leisha Davis for a week at the beautiful Haramara Retreat, north of Puerto Vallarta, in Nayarit, Mexico. We will focus daily on personal inquiry through the Yoga Sutras and practice twice daily: mantra, asana, pranayama and meditation. All of these practices are tools to help us navigate and guide our way to the Divine within.

We are hopeful that travel policies, adequate testing, and contact tracing will make it possible to travel in the New Year.

At Haramara you will find yourself nestled in tropical jungle vegetation with vistas that soothe the soul. Local artisan-designed cabanas are electricity-free, inviting us into a deep connection with nature’s rhythms and our own subtle body. Beach access and a stunning infinity pool allow you to enjoy the sun, water, and the tropical climate.

The setting at Haramara is pristine and very private, and all structures are open air. Practice spaces are spacious and will allow sufficient personal space. In addition, the staff has implemented very high standards of cleanliness and amended meal set up to eliminate the need for shared utensils. Haramara is certified by the Mexican government for following strict protocol for travel safety.

We will offer a perfect blend of asana practices, meditation, self-inquiry, and free time. Additional experiences are offered with a fee. These include cooking classes, trekking, and zip-lining, massage, bodywork and more.

Take this opportunity for yourself to unplug and take your yoga practice to new depths. Come home to yourself in the special magic of Haramara. Visit their photo gallery to see cabanas, setting, pool, and more.

About Your Retreat Leaders:

MJ Daniels has a unique style that has been influenced by many different teachers and years of training. She has an intuitive, gentle approach to her teaching. Her classes have a Bhakti influence focussing on love and devotion. Her practices help students reach all the layers of their being by incorporating flow style asana, yoga philosophy, pranayama, mudras, and vibrational sound through mantras, harmonium, singing bowls, and tibetan bowls. Through her gentle and warm presence she exudes an open invitation to practitioners of all levels, creating a safe and non-judgemental environmnet for people to show up just as they are.

Leisha Davis fell in love with yoga twenty years ago and her passion quickly led to teaching. She has learned from a wide variety of teachers and is grateful for the influence each has had on her practice and life. Leisha’s classes are a dynamic offering of meditative and playful movement, deeply grounded in breath awareness and infused with yoga philosophy. Her teaching style invites students to dive within and connect to their inherent luminosity. Leisha is also a life coach and the founder of Mindful Mama Living. Her mission is to inspire others to live with greater presence, ease and joy through the practices of yoga and mindfulness, so that each of us can show up for ourselves, our families and the world at large in peaceful and positive ways. Leisha spends the majority of the year in San Pancho, Mexico with her husband and two daughters.
