About the Instructors:
What started as a hobby, turned into a new path in Joanna’s life. As her practice grew, so did her appreciation and love for the spirituality and philosophy behind the practice. Joanna’s intention as a teacher is to inspire others to use yoga as a tool to help connect and move inward, begin to feel more and become more aware, both physically and emotionally. Through this journey, she hopes her students are able to discover inner strength, self-love and compassion. Her classes are deep and thoughtful, emphasizing breath, fluid, movement and strong alignment.
As a Yoga Instructor, Reiki Practicionar and a Holistic Health Coach through the Institute Of Integrative Nutrition, Joanna maintains the highest level of personal practice, study and integrity on and off the mat, and is devoted to help lead others on a positive path to optimal health in all aspects of life.
| Racheal Duda | While living in New York in her early 20s, yoga became a refuge from city life; Rachael knew she was tapping into something when she would leave a class feeling intoxicated with the energy of Prana. The tides of life (and her love of adventures!) brought her to Puerto Rico where she attended a 200-hour training in Ashtanga influenced Vinyasa Yoga at It’s Yoga, thus beginning her transition into a career in the healing arts. In 2009 she began her 500-hour certification in Prana Flow© with Shiva Rea and her global community of teachers. She was drawn to the innovative approach of Prana Flow and has enjoyed immersing herself in the knowledge and wisdom of the ancient traditions of Yoga, Tantra, and Ayurveda while fostering her own creative growth as both a student and teacher. She has continued to explore in-depth training in Ayurveda with Maria Garre at the Ayurvedic Institute and also has a certification in Trauma Sensitive Yoga Therapy, which has enabled her to bring yoga as an adjunct therapy to various mental health settings. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Holistic Mental Health Counseling at Lesley University, where she hopes to minimize the gap between eastern and western approaches to healing in mental health. Her classes are both playful and challenging; she nurtures students to cultivate awareness one breath at a time throughout the creative sequences. Both on and off the mat, she strives to empower individuals in their own healing processes by bringing balance to the body, mind and collective energy of nature that surrounds us.
