Jan. 25 - Feb. 1, 2020
You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful environment to retreat in. The serene setting of verdant jungle and vast ocean is the container for your week, providing inspiration for your practices and encouraging you to abide in the beauty that nature offers during your time away.
We’ll explore the yoga practice with an emphasis on form, function and fun! Don’t worry if you’ve not been on your mat for a while, or if twice daily yoga practices feels like “a lot.” The balance of our practices each day will challenge and nourish you, with reminders to be mindful and attentive to your inner guide. Morning practices will focus on basics: alignment, customized postural modifications, breath quality, and learning to move mindfully and with intention. Afternoon practices will be more fluid, incorporating what we discover in the mornings, and bringing in new dimensions of movement through different styles of yoga, with thoughtful sequences and playful themes.
There is, of course, plenty of free time to do what you’d like when you’re away from the drum-beat of your typical day at home. If you tend to be very busy and bustling at home, you’ll enjoy the quiet that Haramara offers. Indulge in healing mind/body therapies, nap, read, rest. If you desire more activity, you can explore the nearby beaches and towns, enjoy water sports, go hiking, bird watching … opportunities abound. Mexico’s rich, colorful and vibrant culture reawakens the senses!
January is the perfect time to re-align with your intentions for 2020, and enjoy your yoga practices in a setting that is sure to kindle your glow … that inner and outer radiance of joy and fulfillment that comes from the balance of activity and rest. If you’re looking for a week that offers exploration, discovery, integration and self-care, this retreat is for you.
