November 23 - 30, 2019
Join us for a week of rejuvenating and conscientious yoga practice. We’ll be staying in the spectacular Pacific coastal region of Riviera Nayarit, eating organic vegan food, and sleeping beneath the stars in open-air cabanas. As it is the week of Thanksgiving, we will focus on gratitude—both giving and receiving. This is an opportunity for you to get exactly what you need–whether that means recharging from months of stressful work, discovering a new joy in surfing or cooking, meeting new people, or turning your attention inward towards yourself. In a world that can seem to shove us along and drag us down, this retreat offers you a moment to pause, uplift yourself, and approach the end of 2019 with a newfound sense of joy and curiosity. See you there!

About the Instructors:
Julia Planine-Troiani (E-RYT 500, YACEP) has studied deeply with yoga, dance, meditation, movement therapy, and integral anatomy for over twenty years. She has had the privilege of teaching in New York City, San Francisco, Israel, Italy and Los Angeles. As it relates to yoga, Julia practices Mysore style Astanga and teaches the vinyasa system of merging breath and movement until they become one. Her intention is to uncover and harness the curiosity and compassion within us, so that we may each continue our journey inward and onward with faith, steadiness and ease. She bows down to the teacher within for eternal guidance and she fully believes in you.
Brian Nygard (E-RYT 500) is compelled to share yoga practice as a means to living life more fully, simply, sensibly and embodied. Encouraging students to become curious, deliberate and playful in their choice making; his lessons illustrate how to recognize form for its function and understand natures implicit pattern as found in the body. Through sound adjustments in joint space, breath work and metaphor; each practitioner can develop their awareness to better refine, relate, re-pair, attune and achieve more harmony in how they conduct themselves and the energy around them. He has been a guest teacher at the United Nations, and annually headlines workshops, retreats, festivals and training programs, both in the U.S. and internationally. He lives in New York City.
